 Ok, so I was thinking about my parents and fondly remembering things they had done in my lifetime. (I am currently 65 myself).  They both passed away in 2012. As I thought I suddenly realized I don’t know what they were like as children and teens. I know what their lives were like and general information about their childhood but not about “them”. I’m talking about personalities. Were they funny, were they cranky, did they get into a lot of mischief? Were they honest or dishonest? Were they friendly or shy? See where I’m going with this?   My point is simple. While you’re parents are still here, ask them those questions. Have them tell you their fondest memory, their worst memory, their personality, their fears, etc. record these things either orally or written. You may think your life isn’t all that interesting but believe me when I say that your  descendants will want to know even if they’ve never met you.
